St Ives Swellboard Shootout 2019
- Overview
- More Info
The Swell Board shootout is an annual fancy dress charity surfing event that takes place in St Ives in June. The event is spread over 2 days and provides a prime opportunity for the St Ives surfing community to let loose and have fun in their backyard. Over a long weekend other events such as an open-air beach cinema, Carnival and Paella night at Cohort Hostel and various live music performances make the occasion one of the social highlights of the year. The main event, which traditionally takes place on Sunday, truly epitomises what surfing is all about, getting out in the sea with your friends and family, having fun and leaving with a Smile on your face! The entire event is run by volunteers from St Ives Surf School and raises money for the environmental charity ‘Surfers Against Sewage’.
