This spacious, tranquil house with its garden and lounge directly overlooking the Lelant Water area of the Hayle Estuary is a favourite of ornithologists and artists. From September until early April the estuary is full of waders. The unique light bouncing off the sand at all times of the year makes it an attractive location for artists.
Penhayl was once the studio of Arthur Meade, one of the original St. Ives Society of Artists. It is the ideal location for bird-watching, coast-walking, nature photography or a painting holiday, taking advantage of the unique reflected light.
We are unable to accommodate children under 5 years, pets, smokers or teenage parties.
- Note for owners of Special Assistance Dogs: The garden is unfenced and leads to a steep overgrown seaward embankment which is a wildlife habitat where badgers and foxes roam and regularly visit the garden.
