Coming to St Ives by train ?
If you are coming to St Ives by train this is the final part of your journey. Considered the most scenic train ride in Britain, it takes 15 minutes and stops at Lelant and Carbis Bay en route to St Ives Station at Porthminster Beach. That excellent video is one of several of the South-West region produced by SpectacularJourneys.
A new park and ride facility will shortly open at St Erth, and as parking in St Ives can be notoriously difficult in the peak season taking this branch line is well worth considering if you are visiting for a day trip.
