Coast News - A Reciprocal Exibition for the artists of St Ives Arts Club & E. Durham Artists Network

'coast News' is a unique exchange of exhibition that is happening between artists of St. Ives Arts Club and East Durham Artists Network who have a base in Seaham, Durham. The aim is to encourage cross country debate and fresh observation, taking that understanding back into the community. The East Durham Artists Network are an artist led initiative, members represent a cross section of the visual arts, including painters, sculptors, glass and textile artists, photographers and poets. (www.edan.org.uk) These talented artists have worked with scientists, theologians and exhibit nationally and internationally. Artists of the St. Ives club will simultaneously be showing their work, which will include abstract and figurative paintings, poetry, textiles, films and orignal composed m,usic including Cornish language songs. Both the areas of St. Ives and Seaham have much in common, including their coastlines, artists and creativity, and the history of mining.
